We Enrique Romay we have, for more than 60 years, been concerned in the production, packaging and export of fruit and vegetables worldwide.

With hard work, effort, dedication and experience we have become a leader in the European fruit and vegetable growing sector, specialising in the export of onions and oranges.

We have extensive modern premises where: we produce, store, process, select, calibrate and package all our products, following the highest standards of quality and agricultural innovation.

We chose the best growing areas in the Valencia Region, Castilla La Mancha and Andalusia to develop and grow the different varieties of our products.

We market and export all our products complying with the most demanding quality rules of the European market and offering our customers the latest developments in product varieties and packaging.

ENRIQUE ROMAY

We are present throughout the entire value chain of their products, from the selection of the seed to plant, to the processing, packaging and daily direct contact with the European markets we supply.

We export

We market our products in all international markets reaching different types of customers: Major distribution centres, wholesale markets, agents, intermediaries and food industries.

We produce

We have our own production on more than 600 hectares throughout the Valencia Region, Castilla La Mancha and Andalusia. This makes us more stable in the face of sudden changes in market supply and demand. We guarantee control and the food safety of our products thanks to automatic traceability procedures.

We package

Our processing premises occupy a total surface area of over 25,000 square metres, among which we also highlight our great cold storage capacity.

We have the latest technology as far as processing systems are concerned – packing, being very flexible as regards the different types of packaging the market requires.

OUR PRODUCTS

Onions

We produce and serve onions throughout the year in many varieties, brown or yellow, red, sweet or white onion. The specialty is yellow the brown onion or, that is the one that is used traditionally to almost cook everything and that gives flavour to multiple plates of the world-wide gastronomy.

Oranges

We process more than 10,000 tonnes on our premises in Valencia among oranges, clementines, hybrids and satsumas. We develop innovative projects to acquire new varieties to offer an ever-more-demanding market as regards new products.

Organic

We believe in healthy food where organic products are a bigger and bigger part in our daily food intake. We have green onions that comply with the highest standards of quality and food safety.

QUALITY

Respect for the land and fruit growing is a constant in our company’s philosophy. In this quality line, at Enrique Romay we develop a production system through the parameters of GLOBALGAP, and we work under the protocols of BRC and IFS.

They complete our firm investment in quality and the complete traceability of the products in our entire production process and the recycling of used materials.

In favour of the respect for the environment and reduction of external energy dependency, in 2007, we invested in a large photovoltaic solar energy project reaching today a power peak of approximately 1Mw.
